President and Founder, Arizona Catering and Epicurean Events
With over 45 years in the food service industry, Mitch has worked in every aspect of the hospitality business from COO of a public restaurant chain and owner/ manager of multiple independent restaurants to cook, server and busboy. As owner of Arizona Catering, Mitch and his team handled the backstage catering needs for most of the venues in the Southwest, and many across the United States for over 30 years, and has been recognized as the premier backstage caterer in the entertainment industry. In 2018, Mitch sold Arizona Catering and is now semi-retired, consulting and working with nonprofit organizations to pay forward the many blessings he has received over the years.
Mitch has been an adjunct professor at Scottsdale Community College’s Hospitality/Culinary School, served as a member of multiple boards, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from the University of Arizona, an MBA from the W. P. Cary School of Business at Arizona State University, and has the distinction of being a nationally approved food service manager and trainer with certification in Food Service Health and Safety. He is the much-loved Papa to a gaggle of grandkids and is enjoying his new found free time playing with them, tooling around southern California in his MG convertible and following his favorite sports teams.
