From August 3rd through August 6th, Musically Fed will return to Lollapalooza for our third straight year to rescue unused artist/staff catering and concessions excess and provide much-needed meals to Chicago area nonprofits. Last year, we were able to repurpose and deliver several truckloads of food to more than a dozen community organizations in Chicago. This year we hope to do even more.
We've proven to be a vital factor in Lollapalooza’s efforts to reduce food waste and make the festival more sustainable. We've also established Musically Fed as valued colleagues connecting Lollapalooza with the local community by supporting nonprofits that feed local veterans, seniors, and families facing food insecurity. In fact, this year Musically Fed has been named an Official Lollapalooza Partner.
Your 100% tax-deductible donation to Musically Fed will go to underwriting costs for our food handling permits, insurance, and even the aluminum pans we transport food in. It helps us coordinate with over 40 local volunteers who staff the event, safely repurpose food, and transport it to local nonprofits. It allows us to do what we do best.
