Musically Fed Kicks Off CMA Fest 2025 with Backstage Food Rescue and Community Impact

CMA Fest 2025 is officially underway, and Musically Fed has been in motion since day one, making sure delicious, unused catering doesn’t go to waste, but instead lands where it’s needed most.

We kicked things off on Tuesday, May 27th when our rockstar volunteer, Angela Zimmer, made the first pickup of the week from Nissan Stadium. She delivered the goods to the incredible team at Matthew 25, setting the tone for a week of service and sustainability.

From there, things ramped up quickly. On Thursday, May 29th, our fabulous volunteers, Cyndi and Renee Turturo, were back at Nissan Stadium for another pickup and brought a bounty of meals to our friends at Room In The Inn, who support those transitioning out of homelessness. Then on Friday, May 30th, our lovely board member Sharon Corbitt headed to the Riverwest load-in area and gathered food for the vets at Operation Stand Down Tennessee, a group we’re always proud to support.

By Saturday, our intrepid volunteer Jeff Chabon and his trusty pup Sammy braved road closures (and a literal marathon!) to get to Nissan Stadium. Once there, the indefatigable duo, Amber from production and Keri from Flavor Catering, handed over a truckload of tasty and nutritious food, which Jeff and Sammy delivered to the Nashville Rescue Mission. Heroes, all around!

Sunday brought another Riverwest rescue – this time by board member Chad Schultz, who connected with Matthew 25 once again to share the generous catering donation. Chad met one of their incredibly positive staff members, who was thrilled to receive the food.

None of this would be possible without the amazing crew at Flavor Catering and the CMA Country Music Association, who continue to make space for service behind the scenes. And of course, we couldn’t do this without our dedicated volunteers (both two- and four-legged), who show up day after day to make a difference.
