MUSICALLY FED OFFICIALLY MARKS 1,000,000 MEALS RESCUED

(Phoenix, AZ – 10/23/26) Musically Fed, the national nonprofit that partners with the live event industry to fight food insecurity, proudly announced today the rescue and repurposing of their 1,000,000th meal.

Founded in 2016, the mission of Musically Fed has been to mobilize the music industry in the fight against hunger by working with artists, promoters, management and venues nationwide to donate unused backstage meals to community organizations that feed people facing homelessness, hunger and food insecurity. Musically Fed identifies the opportunities, procures the resources, and coordinates all aspects of food handling, transport, and distribution. 

“When Musically Fed founder Maria Brunner approached us many years ago about repurposing leftover catering food,” says Live Nation Southwest Regional President Terry Burke, “we were very supportive but never envisioned that it would evolve into where Musically Fed is today. One million meals is an amazing accomplishment and a testimony to Maria’s persistent and tireless approach to help those with food insecurities.  On behalf of Live Nation, we congratulate and thank Maria, her team, the board of Musically Fed and especially all the volunteers that donate their time and effort to provide for those in need.”

At some point during the first week of October, we crossed the 1 millionth meal threshold. We know that we’ve put food on the table for so many, kept it from landfills and helped hundreds of organizations provide meals for those in need. We’re proud of all the artists, managers and event producers who have stepped up do their part for food sustainability, and we are truly humbled by the support we’ve received to reach this remarkable milestone.”
