MUSIC FEEDS THE SOUL, WE FEED THE HUNGRY:
MUSICALLY FED TO PARTNER WITH INKCARCERATION FESTIVAL
Non-profit invited back for third year to repurpose backstage catering for community organizations
Phoenix, AZ – [July 9, 2024] – Musically Fed, a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating hunger through music industry partnerships, will be onsite at Inkcarceration Music and Tattoo Festival at the historic Ohio State Reformatory from July 19-21. Musically Fed will work with festival organizers at Danny Wimmer Presents to rescue unused artist and staff catering, providing much-needed meals to local nonprofits in the Mansfield area.
In 2023, Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival brought together 75,000 music fans over three days, and it's estimated that upwards of $10 million was invested back into the local economy of Ohio’s Richland County, with more than 40% of festival goers hailing from outside the state of Ohio.
Inkcarceration is co-produced by Danny Wimmer Presents, one of the largest independent producers of destination music festivals in America, and Reinkcarceration LLC, a partnership that formed with the original founders of INK in 2021. For more information on Inkcarceration please the website, Facebook, Instagram, and X.
Since its founding in 2016, Musically Fed has mobilized the music industry to fight hunger by working with artists, promoters, management, and venues to donate unused backstage meals, as well as VIP and artist catering, to community organizations nationwide. The organization's efforts have provided almost 600,000 meals to people in need across America.
With acts as stellar as Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, Hollywood Undead, and Skillet we know that it's going to be a virtual lockdown at the abandoned reformatory! We look forward to "freeing" the unused catering and VIP snacks to feed the local community" says Musically Fed founder, Maria Brunner. “It’s an honor to work with a team dedicated to addressing sustainability and food insecurity in the communities they visit, all while delivering an exciting and varied lineup of artists.”
