Our Lollapalooza Story

Our largest event of the year was Lollapalooza 2023, which took place in Grant Park, Chicago, over three weeks in July and August. 40 Musically Fed volunteers donated over 770 hours of their time and saved truckloads of food in the process. This was Musically Fed's third year at Lollapalooza and our first time as an official partner. Through the sun, heat, rain, and wind we made sure that no meal was left behind and all were donated to an incredible array of local organizations.

This year's nonprofit partners included Pacific Garden Missions, Deborah's Place (Old Town), Salvation Army, Franciscan Outreach, Just Harvest, Centre Romero, Care For Friends, Lincoln Park Community Services, Care For Real, Logan Foundation, and organizations serving unhoused veterans and refugees.

“Giving back to the Chicago community is in the fabric of what we do at Lollapalooza, and we are grateful to our partners at Musically Fed for their contribution to that commitment,” said Charlie Walker, Partner, C3 Presents, producer of the festival.

Lolla is special, both for the size and scope of the festival, but also for how great the coordination has developed after years of working together. We have a laundry list of people and companies to acknowledge for going above and beyond. C3, Kevin Noonan, Amber Delamarian, Tuba Smith, and Charlie Walker, The Lakehouse Mandeville and their entire catering crew, and our main sponsor, SHURE, our media sponsor The Mix (Dave Karwowski and Lisa Allen), and the staff at WOW BAO... thank you. You helped us feed so many people in need. We can't wait to do it all again next year!
