We were grateful to offer a food donation from the Tame Impala Deadbeat Tour following their show at the Avicii Arena, Stockholm on Sunday 26 April.
Thanks to the collaboration between REVERB @reverb_org and Musically Fed, surplus backstage catering from the band and crew was safely recovered and redirected to support the community at the Salvation Army emergency accommodation shelter in the south of Stockholm, part of the social services in the City of Stockholm. A special shoutout to Tony Edser of Musically Fed, as well as Kelsey Weber of REVERB, for their time, dedication, and assistance in making this possible!
REVERB works with artists to make the music industry more sustainable, mobilizes millions of fans to take collective action, and amplifies nonprofits with visibility, resources, and community support.
Musically Fed partners with artists, promoters, and venues to ensure that unused backstage meals are donated to organizations like the Salvation Army, helping feed people facing hunger and food insecurity.
We’re proud to be part of this effort to turn live music into lasting, local impact. Gustav Tigerlantz of Frälsningsarmén commented “The Salvation Army Midsommarkransen warmly thanks for the generous donation of backstage catering from Tame Impala’s concert at Avicii Arena – a meaningful contribution that helps us provide meals and support to people in vulnerable situations. Big Thanks and blessings!”
